Cairns Marine collects marine life for display in aquaria from some of the most rugged environments in Australia, including the pristine oceanic wilderness of the Coral Sea and the remote and inhospitable tidal areas of the Gulf of Carpentaria. The collection activity has resulted in many tales of adventure, including interacting with man eating crocodiles and exploring the inky depths using mixed gas re-breather dive apparatus. In this section we present accounts of those adventures. More will be loaded to the site as time goes by.
